I joined the Sovereign team in 2019 to focus on opportunities to invest in businesses within Business & Technology Services space – a large and fascinatingly diverse space.
In particular, I support investment activities with a compliance, cybersecurity, data analytics and consultancy focus both in the UK and European markets. Recent examples include Sovereign's investments in Zenitech, a leading provider of digital transformation and software development, and the data and analytics services business Data Intellect.
My interest in entrepreneurial businesses started when I ran a backcountry ski touring expedition business. I got a flavour of what it takes to create a business from the ground up.
I've always enjoyed researching and learning about both people and businesses. Having worked in specialist recruitment, I went on to join a leading global knowledge brokerage, Guidepoint, where I led commercial due diligence and corporate strategy projects for private equity clients in the UK and Europe. It was there that I became familiar with Sovereign and its approach to investing through Buy & Build – whether organically, through acquisition or a combination of both.
It will be of no surprise that when I’m not in the office I can be found high up an Alp with ice axes.
